Mussel on Slate, Original Watercolour

An original watercolour painting, featuring a Cornish mussel on a found piece of found slate.

This piece has been hand painted on a piece of Cornish slate using watercolours, and then sealed with a varnish for a shiny finish and to protect the painting.

This mussel is roughly 6 1/4 x 7 1/4 in size. Please note as each piece of slate is natural each edge will vary slightly in sizing.

This piece comes professionally framed in a marine inspired wooden box frame, with art glass to protect the painting from UV and sunlight, as well as to give the look of no glass.
