Rockpooling with the Ocean Lover's Guide on Porthpean Beach- 23rd August
Discover the shore and the incredible species that live there, with a guided rockpool with Rachael and the Ocean Lover’s Guide! It will be a fun and interactive session where you will learn all about the incredible species right here on our shores in Cornwall.
We’ll head out on a group rockpool where you’ll learn how to find species, where different animals can be found along the shore and so much more! You’ll get to see new species that you might have never seen before. The beauty of rockpooling is you never know what creatures you’ll find, so every trip is an exciting surprise!
Each session will start with a short safety briefing, as well as some information on rockpooling sustainably and mindfully of the species. Full details for the session will be sent after booking.

What's included:
Trays will be set up for having a closer look at different species. As well as reference cards for identifying species when rockpooling.
You can opt to add on a copy of the Ocean Lover’s Guide at an additional fee.
Ticket Types:
Children’s Tickets - Ages 4 - 14 - £7.50
Adult Tickets - 16+ - £12
Family Tickets - 2 x adults and 2 x children under 16 - £32
What you need to bring:
The weather can be unpredictable in Cornwall, so please make sure you are prepared for the cold or the sunshine. Make sure to pack layers, a coat and suncream. As well as sensible shoes for rockpooling, it can be slippy getting over the rocks so please wear something waterproof and with good grip! You will most likely get wet so please be prepared for that.
Please also bring some drinks and snacks along with you.
Whether you're a seasoned ocean enthusiast or just starting to dip your toes in the water, this workshop is perfect for all ages. So grab your sunscreen and beach towel, and come join us at Porthpean Beach for a day of learning and ocean appreciation!
